mdf information

This section contains all the technical data on the two main brands of MDF we supply.
Medium-density fibreboard (MDF) is an engineered wood product made by breaking down hardwood or softwood residuals into wood fibres, often in a defibrator, combining it with wax and a resin binder, and forming it into panels by applying high temperature and pressure.

We use top grade Medite Moisture Resistant MDF, which is dark, heavy and incredibly smooth at the edges for painting. It has a green moisture resistant core and the highest grade laser compatible 3mm and 6mm MEDITE

This is excellent quality MDF that is CE certified, CarbB compliant and safe for use to make the products we stock.
Our materials conform to the Toy Safety directive which stipulates the use of sheet materials that are in the emission class E1, which means they have an emission limit of 0.1 ml/m3 and therefore contains no hazardous ingredients.

Medite is UKCA tested

Our products are not individually tested to UKCA (En71-3) standards as our MDF products are unfinished craft items, and you will need to obtain your own testing if selling on once you have painted and sealed your items
